We like to think of ourselves as one of those lucky people that gets things done, but actually we are probably more like a bunch of ants. We’re always getting our ass kicked by our life and each task and goal we set up requires us to expend energy doing it.
The only thing we have to thank our life for is our ability to work hard. That’s why we’re all in such a hurry to get things done. But when we reach the end of our day we are exhausted and we want to get to bed as soon as possible.

To the point that while many people do this, they usually do it without realizing it. Our society has given us a lot of ways to work hard without realizing it. We have to watch our weight, look our best, do all the right things, and be perfect at all times. But this is not the way we should be thinking. This is the way you should be thinking if you want to get things done.
All of this is to say that it’s not good to overthink. If you just sit down and do it, you’ll do it correctly. And if you do it correctly, it will not only get done, but you’ll love doing it. To that end, we found that the most effective way to get things done was to break it down step by step into small steps so that we could understand what we were actually doing.
The reason it’s so effective is because we put it all on the shoulders of a team of highly trained people. In any given weekend, we’ll have a team of three and a half people working together. We’ll get our foot in a door, we’ll have a conversation with the person in line at the register, and we’ll go. We’ll use that conversation as our guide and get things done.
One thing that catapult marketing chicago doesn’t do as well is the ability to make a big move. It’s a little bit of a shame too because it’s easy for the person who just launched a campaign to get things wrong. It’s easy for them to get caught up in the “It’s just a small campaign” mindset.

And thats why I like to use that small campaign mindset with every big campaign we do. It has to be about making sure that everyone is on the same page. Its about getting everyone on the same page about the goal of the campaign. Because if you say it wrong, you can ruin it. And that is why we do it.
To be clear, the launch of catapult marketing chicago was a bit of a nightmare. It involved a lot of work, money, and a lot of people not being there. But we did it. And we got a lot of great feedback on the campaign.
All I can say is, go to the launch event and see all the amazing people there. And the amazing stuff they did. And the amazing things the team did. That’s how you know you did it right. And that’s how we know it was a success.
